Microsoft Entra ID SSO

Overview

Microsoft Entra ID SSO is a Single Sign-On Identity provider. When integrated with Simpro Premium, your employees can log in easily and securely access your data.

To set up single sign-on with Microsoft Entra:

  1. From your Microsoft Entra admin centre, go to App registrations > New registration.
  2. On the registration screen, enter:
    • Your preferred name for the application
    • Choose a supported account type
    • For Redirect URI, select Web and paste the Callback URI copied from Simpro Premium
  3. Go to App registrations > Simpro Application > App overview.
  4. Copy the below onto Simpro Premium under Your IdP key details:
    • Copy the Application (client) ID onto Client ID field in Simpro Premium
    • Copy the Directory (tenant) ID onto Tenant ID field in Simpro Premium
    • For the Client Secret:
      • Create a new client secret for the application from App registrations > Application > Certificates & Secrets > Client secrets > New client secret. Add a client secret Description, and select the expiry timeframe and click Add.
      • Copy the client secret value into the Client secret field in Simpro Premium.
        • Note: The client secret value is only visible soon after creating it on Entra ID. Please make sure you copy this before it is made hidden.
        • Note: A new client secret has to be created before the current one expires, and the same needs to be updated on Simpro Premium.
  5. To assign users / groups to the application on Entra ID, go to Enterprise applications > Application. Under Manage, go to Users and groups and click Add user/group.
    • Select the users / groups you want to assign the application to, and click Assign.
